Growth of human population in Australia, 1000-10,000 years BP

چکیده
In the earlier publication (Nielsen aka Nurzynski, 2013) we have discussed the common mistake, which is often made when interpreting hyperbolic-type distributions, the mistake consisting in seeing them as being made of two distinctly different trajectories, slow and fast, each requiring unnecessarily a different interpretation with an additional mandatory explanation of a non-existing transition between the two perceived components. We have

Hyperbolic Illusion of the Mid-Holocene Turning Point
Using the growth of population in Australia in the past 10,000 years it is illustrated here how an illusion created by hyperbolic distributions may lead easily to incorrect conclusions. Contrary to the published claim, there was no change in the mechanism of growth of the ancient human population in Australia around 5000 years before present (BP). Data for the number of rock-shelter sites, inte...
متن کاملGrowth rate of the ancient human population in Australia
In the earlier publications (Nielsen aka Nurzynski, 2013a, 2013b) we have discussed the growth of human population in Australia as determined by the study of the time-dependent distribution of rock shelter sites between 10,000 and 1,000 years BP (before present). We have shown that if the number of rock shelter sites is assumed to represent also the size of human population, the growth of the p...

D. The Possum d.gov.au j doi: 10.5 Clinically significant tongue-tie in breastfeeding pairs was overlooked during the second half of the 20th century. Tongue-tie (and the newer diagnoses of upper lip tie and posterior tongue-tie) have received increased attention following the resurgent commitment of women to breastfeeding over the past decade and the growth in numbers of breastfeeding support ...
متن کاملGenetic evidence on modern human origins.
A review of genetic evidence leads to the following conclusions concerning human population history: (1) Between 33,000 and 150,000 years ago the human population expanded from an initial size of perhaps 10,000 breeding individuals, reaching a size of at least 300,000. (2) Although the initial population was small, it contained at least 1000 breeding individuals. (3) The human races separated s...
متن کاملBIRTH AND DEATH INDICATORS IN THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN IN 1984 AND 1986
Birth and death indicators were examined through retrospective surveys conducted in 1985 and 1987 in the Islamic Republic of lran, reviewing 1984 and 1986 events, to obtain infant mortality rate (IMR) and other necessary indicators for health planning and evaluation. Comparison between 1985 and 1987 surveys revealed: 1. No major change in crude death rate ( 6.3 per 1000 in 1987 survey) had...
